No more leaks

"Have the roe 50 for a few years now and it started leaking. Thought was filter house gaskets changed but got worse. Then noticed it leaking where the filter housing caps connect together so took it apart and noticed small cracks on the inside of the cap on inlet side. This order came quick and with everything I needed. Changed out the caps and no more leaks. It is hard to locate this part on there site only issue I had."

This replacement part works. The

"This replacement part works. The fact that I had to replace the cap set of my APEC WFS-1000 system system after only 1. 5 years of use is disappointing."

Apec water system.

"After calling APEC about the water leak issue it was decided that the part you'll sent me needed to be replaced. I replaced the part & the leak continues. The center canister was leaking & now the 1st canister is leaking. The center canister stopped leaking. It almost seems like the system has too much water pressure. I have had the system for 2 yrs & this is the 1st issue I have had."

Best company!!

"My reverse osmosis system had a leak. The actual cap for the filter housing was leaking by just sending a few pictures APEC able to send out the correct part and after I installed it, everything worked as it should. Great company to work with even with Service parts."

"Like others, I'm very frustrated that a few months out of warranty, the cap started to leak and caused warping under my sink. Support was prompt but due to poor quality I was advised to purchase new caps. Shipping was almost as expensive as the caps! I already replaced O rings and new filters trying to fix the problem. My prior RO unit from Costco lasted me at least 15 years - APEC, 2 years and a few months. They didn't even offer a code for free shipping of low quality parts - Frustrated "just out of warranty" customer"

Complete Garbage

"APEC Water systems are garbage, especially their components. Their plastic caps deteriorate to the point where they leak, which in my case caused significant damage to my kitchen cabinets. I spoke to them via Email and was told it’s not a warranty issue as it’s too old (<2years) so I had to buy the caps for the filter housing, I did buy them against my best judgement, and once again I couldn’t be anymore disappointed with another purchase from APEC: I bought a full set of filters to replace my existing filters as the old ones dried out, waiting on some kind of resolution from APEC. The new 5micron filter’s fitting leaked, this caused even more problems including rusting hardware (use stainless hardware) and more cabinet damage. Switching to a Water Drop or other quality system and this APEC system will be moved to where it belongs, the garbage."

Sad

"I’m mad and sad that 6 months out of warranty I need to buy this part. They said it was very rare that I would have a crack in the housing. Reading the reviews below that’s obviously not the case. Customer service was ok, but asked me to do a time consuming test on my system instead of just fessing up and telling me what a crack looks like in the housing. This replacement also will not be easy and I’m not confident I’ll get it right the first time, bc I’m not a Plummer. Lastly, offering free shipping would have been nice instead of there $20 shipping rate. Next time something breaks/doesn’t work I’m going to find a new company."

Replacement caps, work fine.

"I had a lot of trouble getting the filter containers to seal after I changed my old filters. I called customer support and was told I needed to change the cap assembly. It worked fine. It took a ridiculously long time to get the part but it did the trick."

Fixed the leak

"There was a very slow leak and I tried to replace the O-ring and it still leaked. I guess these may only last a few years. I want to say ours was close to 8 years old. It wasn't super expensive and worked well. I saw some reviews complaining about the 90 degree bend being the opposite way which it was but there was still enough tubing. If there wasn't you could cut a piece off of one of the very long tubes or get some at lowes/home depot. I didn't need to but am happy with this purchase."
