APEC Essence standard capacity pre-filter set for ROES-PH75 is made with high quality filtration components to protect and prolong the lifespan of your reverse osmosis system. Premium quality filter set lasts over 6 to 12 months for high performance contaminant removal. These standard size filters are compatible with APEC Essence Series and all other 10 Inch standard size under counter reverse osmosis systems
1st Stage: 5 micron Polypropylene filter to remove dust, particles, and rust. Prevent sediment from building up and clogging the filters and the system. Recommend changing every 6-12 months.
2nd and 3rd Stage: 10 micron extruded carbon block filter to remove chlorine, taste & odor at a fast flow rate. Improve water taste, protect the life of the RO membrane and enjoy chlorine free water. Recommend changing every 6-12 months.
6th Stage: 10 Inch High Purity pHPlus Calcium Carbonate Re-mineralization Inline Filters w/ Quick Connect. Recommend changing every 6-12 months.

Other re-mineralization filter will claim to add various beneficial minerals back into the water; however, their mineral formulations are often from unknown sources.

"I am really, not sure how to review this product as I have not yet installed it. The reason I have not installed it yet is because when it arrived, it had such a strong odor that I had to leave it out in my garage. I opened the box, and that was it. For the last few weeks. It has sat in the box in the garage while I wait for the strong chemical odor to dissipate. So I am really, not sure what to do, as I’m not really comfortable in changing out the current filters for these. The chemical odor is disturbing."
Why not the whole set?
"I love my APEC reverse osmosis setup. I’ve had it for several years now and have used only APEC filters to keep it going. Guests and extended family have commented on how good my water tastes. I like the extra crispness in my coffee taste and my wife calls herself a “water snob. ” Only odd thing… My manual and all the flyers included with parts I’ve ordered say “Replace filters 1-3…and 6 every six months. ” I buy the “Filters for a year” package and it has two of 1-3 and one 6. When I inquire as to why, I’m told “you can buy an additional #6 if you want. ” Makes no sense as the flyer in the package I just got still says #6 should change six months. I don’t get it. Is it really a “Year’s filters” or is Apec cheating out on me? BYW: I am very happy with my APEC and have told everyone it’s a good product."
