This granular activated carbon filter offers 3/8" quick-connect compression fittings that deliver superior flow rate while permitting easy replacement and installation. These fittings are integrated into the filter and cap for superior structural integrity to minimize the possibility for leaks. This inline filter has no glues or binders, that may cause contamination, used in the manufacturing process. Instead, components are friction-welded together, producing a reliable, no-leak seal. The threaded connections are precision cut by machine resulting in the most accurate and repeatable thread possible. Composed of acid-washed carbon media, this filter is designed for maximum chlorine, taste & odor reduction. |

On my last RO filter
"On my last RO filter change, I had all the replacement filters except this one. So I went ahead and replaced all the filters that I had on hand and ordered this one from APEC. I only had to wait two days. I love that APEC will FedEx something to you in cases like this, where you need something ASAP. So during this two days, I continued to test my Water with the other 4 filters replaced. I could get it down to 90 PPM. , but no lower. As soon as this filter came in, I installed it right away. Retested my water, it was down to 36 PPM. Bottled water is about 50 PPM. So yeah, I believe it this product."

User manual and product have inconsistency
"Water system is great. For this particular filter though it is a bit confusing because my user manual for RO-HI carbon filter says replace every 3-5 years, but the service life printed directly on the product says 1500 gal or 1 year. So which is it? I am inclined to follow the direction of the manual but the inconsistency is annoying."
