Good unit, good customer service, troublesome install

"Once working, this unit has been chugging away and meets all our needs. My own testing proves it resolved my Ar and NaCl well problems. I enjoy the simplicity, affordable cost of ownership, and the good pressure of the design. However, the first days were rough. Every screw fitting on this unit slowly leaked and I had to re-teflon and re-install every single screw fitting. This was more an emotional problem than a labor one; constantly checking if the leaks returned. Customer service saved the day and my confidence in the unit as we worked through this."

Clean water from faucet

"There were 2 delays in that the plumber realized our state, WI, requires an air-gap faucet, unlike the one that comes in the kit. So he had to leave and I had to order the separate faucet and reschedule the plumber. Then after install and waiting for the tank to fill, no water came out. The plumber came back. A brass piece in the faucet under the lever had turned 90 degrees blocking the water. He fixed that. So it took some extra time but I am now enjoying the clean taste of my water and will no longer have to lug 3 gal jugs of filtered RO water from grocery stores."

"Bought a system for myself and my mother. Both systems failed a couple months after the two year extended warranty. Cracked main body. Ruined and warped my cabinets under the sink. I would avoid. APEC"
