Essence 50 GPD Filter set
APEC Essence 5 stage complete filter set is made with high quality filtration components to protect and prolong the lifespan of your reverse osmosis system. Premium quality filter set lasts over 6 months for high performance contaminant removal, while the membrane and post carbon filter last 2-4 years. These standard size filters are compatible with APEC 50 GPD Essence and all other 10 Inch standard size under counter reverse osmosis systems.
1st Stage: Sediment removal 5 micron 10 Inch filter -removes dust, particles, and rust. Protects and extends the life of the membrane and system. Recommend changing every 6-12 months.
2nd and 3rd Stage: Carbon block 10 micron 10 Inch filter -gets rid of unpleasant chlorine, tastes, odors, cloudiness and colors. Also removes VOCs and other common chemicals from the water. Recommend changing every 6-12 months.
4th Stage: High Rejection TFC reverse osmosis membrane. Removes a wide variety of contaminants including arsenic, bacteria, chlorine, lead, fluoride, chromium, radium and more. Recommend changing every 2-4 years.
5th Stage: Coconut Shell Refining Carbon 10 Inch filter -removes any possible residual taste from the tank. Recommend changing every 2-4 years.

"These filters are amazing! We’ve had this system for a little over 2 years now and have definitely seen and tasted a major improvement in our drinking water. The only issue I have with this system is the fact that the filter 4 housing is extremely hard to get open after not having changed the filler in the time we’ve had it and because there’s no real way to get a good grip on the housing unless you have gigantic hands or an extra set of hands holding it while one person unlocks it. It’s really annoying. Thankfully it was able to be opened after 2-3 hours of trying. Even if there’s supposed to be pressure released from this there is no real way to do that unless it’s opened."

10 years of great water
"I have trusted APEC system for ten years. I live in New Mexico where the water is hard with a lot of minerals. Since I started using the RO Apec syste, friends and family compliment the taste of our home water and they take gallons of our water to their home. Filters last long time and support has been very helpful. I got a leak for the first time after ten years. . . the cap of one of the canisters had a tiny crack. . . probably because in the last change of filters I overtighten one of the caps. Anyway, with the advice of Apec support I replaced the "system head" and everything went back to normal!"
I am a little disappointed
"I am a little disappointed in the performance of the new filters. The water from the old filters was coming out at 30 PPM, now the water from the new filters is coming out at 70 PPM . Was hoping the PPM would be less. But I guess it's still better than the 650 PPM rural water going in."

"is my second purchase of this under-counter system. I had one 15 years ago in a former home. It performs well, was easy to install, and Customer Support is great if you have any questions. Everyone is friendly. My daughter has the same unit and happy with her's as well. Our previous system aged out after 10 years. The tank needed to be changed and it was just as easy to convert the system back to a Roes-50."
