"The area where I live has chemicals due to fracking and my neighbors and I have decided to get a chemical removing system for whole house protection as well as drinking system. I purchased this model max-10 because my home has only 2 bathrooms and a reverse osmosis 45 for drinking water. The max-10 has done a superb job because we used to have the really strong chemical odor now it's gone. Drinking water system has also performed like I expected removed almost all of the contaminants based on my water tester. "I was doing some shopping around looking for a whole house system to remove chlorine as well as some sediment in the process. If anything the most I could find are the standard big blue dual stage type of filtration systems. With that I would have to replace the filters monthly if not yearly and was looking for more something of a maintenance free type of design. I contacted APEC water systems to see if there were any other options available and a friendly representative informed and guided me through the differences between their filtration systems.
